The Paul Bourget neighborhood of Paris, near Porte d'Italie, has been transformed by the arrival of the Mixy d'Italie complex, designed by X-TU Architects.
The architectural approach adopted for this project is decidedly contemporary and offers an orderly and interesting interpretation of the definition of spaces for each function. XTU Architects places an emphasis on design and functionality, and this development is a prime example, with its mix of scaled surfaces and smooth, perforated sections, making the project a real gem of architecture and style.
This building complex is part of the transformation of the Paul Bourget neighborhood, which fits perfectly into the contours of Greater Paris and aims to strike a balance between green spaces, economic activity, and neighborhood life. The existing green spaces have been completely redeveloped into a public park that connects Parc Kellermann to the pedestrian esplanade of the Avenue de la Porte d'Italie, the main artery leading to the heart of the capital and passing through the 13th arrondissement's city hall.
As part of this project, AXIOM, the company responsible for its implementation, undertook to integrate all possible environmental certifications, implementing various ecological aspects.
Nesting boxes were installed on the terraces, and plants were carefully selected to promote biodiversity, complementing surrounding green spaces such as Parc Kellermann. The building complex also incorporates a rainwater recovery system, which is used for irrigation and flushing toilets. The plant species chosen do not require special maintenance and contribute to the rational use of water.
The MIXY building complex has been certified according to the following energy labels:
